5 Inspirational Quote That Will Make You Want to Hustle

1. “Work like there is someone working 24 hours a day to take it away from you.” — Mark Cuban

Who else is a fan of ABC’s Shark Tank?

Personally, I love learning about the contestants’ different businesses/inventions and seeing how the sharks react to their pitches.

I think Mark Cuban usually has some pretty sound advice, and I really like this quote from him encouraging people to keep working hard even after they’ve found success.

It’s all too easy to bask in your accomplishments, but success can be like anything else in life — temporary.

Even when you’re crushing it, you need to always be thinking ahead to the next milestone and how you’re going maintain what you’ve built for the long term.

2. “Opportunity is missed by people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” — Thomas Edison

The truth is, there’s no substitute for hard work.

Unfortunately many people miss out on great opportunities simply because they’re not willing to put in the metaphorical blood, sweat, and tears that it takes to be successful.

If you find yourself getting impatient that your hard work doesn’t seem to be paying off quick enough, remember that most good things take time.

You can always reevaluate your strategy and shift gears, but don’t make the mistake of giving up on something too soon just because it’s taking more time or hard work than you initially expected.

3. “Success is never owned, it’s rented. And the rent is due every day.”

I’ll say it louder for the people in the back…

Success, just like anything else, can be temporary.

Never take your eye off the goal, and don’t stop pushing the limits even after you’ve reached your initial milestone.

4. “Work until you no longer have to introduce yourself.”

This quote can be interpreted in a few different ways, but I look at it as saying that you should work so hard that the people around you cannot ignore you.

Work so hard that everyone knows your name, because you’re that person who’s always going the extra mile.

You don’t want to just coast by and fit in, you want to stand out in the crowd.

5. ” Instead of saying ‘I don’t have time’, try saying ‘It’s not a priority’, and see how that feels.”

Ah yes, my favorite quote for last.

When my blog first began to gain traction while I was in college, I started getting questions from both girls I went to school with and some of my college aged readers on how to start a blog (and ultimately land sponsorships with brands).

P.S. I actually received so many inquiries on this topic that I now have a 100% free, 7-day e-course on how to start monetizing your blog and working with brands.

I’d share my tips and even offer to sit down with some of these people to help them get started (for free mind you, just to be friendly and because I love talking all things blogging related).

I was often met with statements like, “I really want to get started and do what you do…it just seems like it takes so much time, and I’m always so busy…”

Here’s the thing.

If you really want something?

I don’t care what it is, you will make time for it.

Because the truth is, if you don’t have time for something then it’s just not a priority at this point in your life.

There’s nothing wrong with that, but step up and admit it!

If you have time to hangout with friends, party on the weekends, watch Netflix, etc., you have time to do whatever it is you set your mind to. It’s all about priorities.
